Dr. Terrance Freeman
Dr. Terrance Freeman is an accomplished author, speaker, Christian counselor, social worker, minister, and youth mentor dedicated to helping individuals discover healing, purpose, and hope through the integration of faith, mental health, and practical life application. Guided by a passion for serving families, strengthening communities, and developing future leaders, he has devoted his life to empowering people to overcome adversity and live with confidence and purpose.
Raised in the Pine Flat community of Nacogdoches, Texas, Dr. Freeman developed a strong foundation of faith, hard work, family values, and community service. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Master of Social Work, and a Doctorate in Advanced Christian Counseling, along with advanced training in trauma-informed care, family systems, and community advocacy. His diverse experience spans social work, behavioral health, youth development, crisis intervention, Christian counseling, and nonprofit leadership.
As an author, Dr. Freeman is passionate about creating resources that inspire growth across generations. His book, Unspoken Pressure: A Real Guide to Mental Health for Men Through the Lens of a Black Man’s Experience, encourages men to embrace healing, authenticity, and emotional wellness through personal insight, professional experience, and biblical truth. He is also the creator of The Dojo Defenders, a children’s book series that uses martial arts and adventure to teach young readers values such as courage, integrity, respect, perseverance, and compassion.
Beyond writing, Dr. Freeman is a dynamic preacher, conference speaker, workshop facilitator, and leadership trainer. Through biblical teaching, practical application, and authentic storytelling, he equips individuals, families, churches, schools, and community organizations with the tools to strengthen faith, improve emotional well-being, build resilience, and pursue God’s purpose with confidence. He is also a passionate advocate for mentoring young people, believing that discipline, character, and strong leadership begin by investing in the next generation.
Today, Dr. Freeman continues to write, speak, mentor, and serve with a vision of transforming lives through faith, education, emotional wellness, and leadership development. His mission is to help people heal emotionally, grow spiritually, lead courageously, and discover the purpose God has placed within them, leaving every person stronger and every community better because of his service.
